Overview
Memories is my pet project, which I worked on for 4 months, from the initial idea to preparing the final layouts. In this case study, I will showcase stages such as UX Research and UX/UI Design.

Goal
Create an intuitive and secure interface for an iOS app that allows users to safely save and manage their data digitally.
The Challenge
Designed a mobile application from idea to detailed mockups without prior product experience, mastering user research, HIG guidelines, iOS design principles, UX/UI stages, and branding, all within four months.
My responsibilities
I was responsible for the end-to-end design of the iOS application interface, from developing the concept and creating the user flow to designing high-quality prototypes in Figma. My focus was on UX design, ensuring an intuitive user experience.
I conducted market research on memory storage apps, analyzed competitors, interviewed three users, created user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, developed the app's branding and style, and designed high-fidelity screen prototypes for the app's core scenarios.
UX Design
Before designing the interface, I conducted research using popular methodologies to understand user experience and gather data for the interface design of the application.
While working on UX research and design, I conducted user segmentation, interviewed 4 respondents, analyzed the collected data, performed competitor analysis, built user flows, practiced the Jobs To Be Done framework, designed wireframes, and conducted usability testing.

UX research in FigJam
Through research, I determined that I would design an app for people aged 20–40. I identified potential interface functionality after analyzing 20 different applications. I also discovered that over 70% of people interested in preserving memories digitally prefer photos and videos. Additionally, I created a User Flow and came up with an interesting solution, which I later named Random Mode.

UI Design
In this project, the goal was to design a simple and modern interface. Additionally, work was done on the branding for the app, using the 3D editor Spline for mockups and the mascot, as well as creating custom icons for the app.

Memories
I designed an interface with two display modes for the list of saved memories. The first is a standard mode, similar to how folder systems work on computers. The second mode, which I called "Random mode," allows the user to open a memory without knowing which one it will be. I thought it would be enjoyable for people to recall something in a random and unexpected way.

When creating memories, I included options to select a title, date, location, and cover image.

I dedicated time to customizing my app and designed 32 icons.

I also designed over 40 highly detailed screens for the scenarios described in the user flow. I created frames for settings, app login, creating a new memory, and viewing an existing memory.

Results
In this project, I designed the interface of an iOS mobile application, progressing from the initial concept to high-fidelity mockups.
I created a table with competitors and outlined the core functionality for users.
UX Research
I conducted interviews with four users to understand how they store data digitally.
UX Research
I discovered using the Pathway service that 70% of respondents use photos to preserve their memories.
UX Research
As a result, I created a user flow for the main scenarios of my application.
UX Research
I went through the wireframing stage twice because I didn’t test my initial solutions. That was my mistake.
UX Design
Wireframes allowed me to make quick decisions and test different hypotheses.
UX Design
I created a visual concept for the application, designed 32 custom icons, and came up with a mascot.
UI Design
I created a UI kit and designed the application using iOS elements.
UI Design
As a result, I created over 40 highly detailed screens ready for development.
